Do you get headaches or eyestrain from staring at your computer monitor? At the end of a long day in front of your computer screen, is it difficult to focus on distant objects? You may be suffering from Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). With most of the population working on computers for multiple hours a day, Dr. Phillips and Dr. Borstad wants to share information on Computer Lenses. Special computer task lenses can be used to supplement your primary pair of eyewear to solve computer specific vision requirements. For example, computer task lenses can help relieve the symptoms of computer vision syndrome, such as blurry vision, sore and tired eyes, and headaches, by enhancing vision at the near and intermediate distances. According to the American Optometric Association, 70–75% of computer workers experience eye and vision problems. This condition, known as computer vision syndrome, includes blurry vision, sore and tired eyes, and neck and shoulder pain. Near-sighted people often complain of headaches, eye strain, squinting or fatigue when driving, playing sports, or looking more than a few feet away. Special computer task lenses can used to supplement your primary pair of eyewear to solve computer-specific vision requirements. For example, computer task lenses can help relieve the symptoms of computer vision syndrome by enhancing vision at the near and intermediate distances with the added comfort of a more natural head position. We will be reopening effective Tuesday May 12th! We are glad to be back and looking forward to providing our patients with the exemplary care you have come to expect in the safest environment possible.

While our doors will be open, we will have some changes in effect per guidelines from the CDC and the American Optometric Association.

We are asking patients to CHECK IN prior to entering the office. We will have a check in station set up where we will conduct a health screening questionnaire and your temperature will be checked.

We are requiring that all patients over the age of 2 wear a FACE MASK.

SOCIAL DISTANCING will be required and our staff will approve entry in order to control the number of people in the office. Please wait for staff approval before entering the office.

In order to maintain our social distance guidelines, we will be allocating ONE HOUR for the exam, shopping, and checkout. If you need more time to find the perfect pair of glasses we will be adding specialized shopping times.
